PRINTING PROCESSES USED
Thermography produces RAISED type. The sheets are first conventionally printed & then treated to create the raised effect. Although quite time consuming to produce, outstanding prints can be produced. Thermography is best suited to single colour printing. A large range of colours can be produced using this process including a full range of metallic finishes including gold & silver.
Flat printing or lithography is a 'planographic' printing process. Printing is carried out using aluminium plates which is transferred to the paper via a rubber 'blanket'. The image created is sharp, clean & flat.
Letterpress printing is the tradtional form of printing with raised type. Using vintage presses and traditional skills, quite breath-taking results can be produced which can look surprisingly modern. This process is perfect for wedding stationary.
