Invitations

All invitation pieces are created from either customer's artwork (supplied) or from the customer's brief to create a bespoke artwork in-house. Proofing is by PDF file via email. 

Printing by letterpress can be in any colour. (Inks are mixed using the pantone matching system with hundreds of colour variations available). For hotfoil elements of invitations, a sample swatch of house shades is used. These are gold and silver shades in satin, matt or gloss. A standard white foil for text on dark material and a clear gloss foil to add impact to debossed areas is used.

Card material is supplied by GF SMITH. Their Colorplan material is available in many weights and shades. Uncoated and slightly textured, this gives excellent results with both hotfoil and letterpress.

Envelopes can be supplied in a matching shade.

Invitation Sizes

Invitations are available in the following sizes:

120mm square, 140mm square, A6 - 105 X 148mm, Postcard (125 x 175mm), A5 (210 X 148mm)

Invitations can be made to custom sizes.  However, if envelopes are required, these will have to be specially made to order.

Paper/Card Types

All paper/card are supplied on a range of material in weights ranging from 350gsm to 700gsm.

Standard paper types are Colorplan or Cranes Cotton paper. The most popular weights for invitations are 540gsm for Colorplan and 600gsm for Cranes Cotton.

Stock colours available for Colorplan are pristine white, bright white (off white) and natural (light cream).  Many more colours are available. Cranes Cotton is available in either white or pearl white.

Information & RSVP cards

Inserts are usually flat litho printed. These are printed using the same coloured ink as the invitations to be consistent. These items can of course also be printed letterpress.

Envelopes & Liners

Standard Gummed Envelopes

Standard gummed envelopes are 120gsm in weight and although not an exact match in colour to the invitations, they are quite close. This cost is included in the basic invitation price.

In-House Made Envelopes

Envelopes in the same material as the invitations,  can be supplied specially made to order, at an extra charge.   These envelopes are manufactured in 130gsm GF Smith Colorplan material and are self seal.

Envelope Liners

Envelope liners are a die cut piece of paper which can be slipped into and envelope to increase the opacity of the envelope.

Wallets & Folders

Invitations and inserts can be sent out in either a designed wallet or folder.

Wallets are supplied in 2 sizes to fit either 120mm square or a 140mm square invitation.

A wallet will fit an invitation on heavy 540gsm material and up to three inserts in 350gsm material.

Folders are a 3-panel folding piece for a 125 x 175mm invitation. There is a space for the invitation to be mounted on the centre panel. On the right hand side of the centre panel is a pocket which can be used to hold inserts. The front of the folder can be letterpressed and foiled with your chosen design or text.
